This session will offer an overview of visual literacy efforts taking place across academy disciplines, in libraries and in visual resource collections. A visual literacy rubric will be discussed based upon the ACRL Information Literacy Standards and constructivist approaches to learning. Presenters will describe and demonstrate specific visual literacy tools, and discuss assessment of specific visual literacy implementations.
